Christmas with MoMo & Papa

Josh's parents visited the week before Christmas. We decided to let Ava open her presents the Thursday before Christmas since they were leaving on Christmas Eve. We wanted to give them the chance to see Ava play with her new toys, and boy did she love them!

Santa

While Josh's parents were in town two weeks ago, we went and visited Santa in Reno. I was expecting the worst but Ava actually did very well. She wasn't happy by any means, but she didn't cry so I counted that as a success. Santa gave her a sucker which I think helped. Here are the three pictures! Her face is priceless.

Catching Up....

Ava and I have been taking advantage of the somewhat warmer weather here in Fallon today. We played outside for most of the late morning! Here are some cute pictures from our play time.

Somehow Ava's lovie (or as she calls it her wubbie) made it into the toilet this evening. I think if she were old enough she would have blamed it on the dogs. Good thing we have more than one!

Grimes Point

On Sunday, we made a ten minute trip east of town to Grimes Point Archaeological Site. Grimes Point is one of the largest and most accessible petroglyph site in the United States. There was a little trail through the petroglyphs that we walked. A couple miles past the petroglyphs was a trail through hidden caves. We have intentions of going back to view the rest of the caves as we only made it to one because of lunch time. The weather was beautiful! We had such a wonderful time.

This is when we knew it was time to go home. All she wanted to do was sit down and she kept saying "all done!"

Happy Halloween!

We met up with some of our friends last night and took little Miss Olivia trick-or-treating. I wasn't sure how she would take to the whole thing, but she loved it!

Punkin Patch

We went to the punkin (as Ava calls them) patch last weekend. There was a hay ride to the actual patch that Ava wasn't so sure about in the beginning. It was so fun running around picking the perfect pumpkins. We have yet to carve them, but plan on doing that this weekend.
