Thanksgiving Weekend

It's been a while since we last posted. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Our first Thanksgiving in our house. Josh's parents, brother and cousin Bob came to enjoy the feast. We had a 22 lbs. turkey, stuffing, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and of course cranberry sauce. Josh did a great job on the turkey, it wasn't dry at all! It was such a wonderful time. After we finished stuffing our faces, we played board and card games. Yesterday, our task was Christmas decorations. A tradition we have decided to take on instead of participating in Black Friday. Josh and I went and picked a six foot live tree. It makes the whole house smell so awesome. It truly is now Christmas time! Here are some pictures from the entire weekend.

Albuquerque

I just got back from 10 days in Albuquerque, NM. The weather was gorgeous. We were working 14 hour days, but I got out to the Sandia Mountains on the weekend. I will post some pictures soon.

I Voted Today

Woohoo! My first time voting. It was quite an experience. Knowing the poles opened at 6am, I woke up at 5:30. I walked to my precinct which is only a couple blocks away because I didn't want to have to mess with parking. It was dark and cold and raining so I wore my new rain coat and Josh's rain pants. The line was long and for some reason I was nervous. Mainly because I have never voted and Josh wasn't around to calm my nerves. He got to do an absentee ballot. I waited an hour and fifteen minutes. Walked into the building, checked in and voted within two minutes. I am not one for politics but I am proud I could take part in such a historic occasion.
