We took the girls to a gym with several bounce houses. Ava was running around like a wild woman, sweating like a pig. We couldn't get a picture of her, but Layla sat still for this pic.

6 Months Ago

Not sure how it happened but Layla is 6 months old in a couple days.  Had an impromptu photo shoot this morning because she was so happy and Josh had taken Ava to school.   Love her!

Ocala Indian Caves

Katrina needed to get some work done, so Ava and I decided to go "splorin." We went hiking on the West Humboldt Range north of Fallon. We hiked to the Ocala Indian Caves where we had lunch.

North Pole Breakfast

Ava enjoyed her first North Pole breakfast this morning.  We welcomed a new elf to our house this year!  Ava named her Twinkle which was the name of the elf she met on the Polar Express last night!

Christmas Tree

We bought a permit and cut our own Christmas tree down this year.  Josh came up with the idea and did all the research to find the perfect location.  We drove about an hour east of Fallon to Clan Alpine Mountains.  It was a beautiful off road location that had lots of trees to choose from.  We hiked around for about a half an hour before we found the perfect tree.  It was an adventure-filled day that ended with a beautiful tree and a beautiful sunset.  

Happy Thanksgiving!

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving as a family at home this year.  We did celebrate dessert with friends after dinner.  I tried my hand at making pies from scratch.  Pumpkin, pecan and french silk.  All Josh could say was don't do something well you don't want to do for the rest of your life.  Guess I'll be making pies from scratch more often!!  Ava enjoyed coloring, helping daddy cook and watching the parade as well as the National Dog Show.  The dog show inspired her to run with Ginny.  Ginny, however, wasn't so impressed.  Oh and Layla decided to celebrate by sitting up for the first time.  Overall it was the perfect day!
