My First Quilt

One of my college girlfriends is having a baby in October. Lindsey was also one of my bridesmaids. Since I am now living in Kansas City until we move in November, I actually got to go to her baby shower! I have made blankets in the past but never an actual quilt and have been dying for the opportunity. I think it turned out pretty well. Hope you enjoy it Lindsey!

Ava's First Tooth

We all knew Ava was teething and has been for awhile. She was a drooling machine but hardly fussy at all when her first tooth popped through this past Saturday. What a trooper! You can feel the whole top of it now but can barely see it. I finally managed to get a picture of it this morning. It's not a very good picture of Ava but you can see the tooth!!

I am not sure Ava was quite in the mood for her first time on the swing, but I think she will like it.

Change of Command

While Barb and CR were in town last week helping us pack up and move our house into storage, we all got the opportunity to attend Josh's change of command. The change of command is a ceremony where the head guy or the "Skipper" leaves and the second in command or the executive officer becomes the new "Skipper." I have actually never gotten to attend one. It was pretty cool. Here are a couple pics from the event.
