We let the dogs play together in the snow. At first they didn't know what to do, but it didn't take them long to figure it out. They had a ball.

First Real Snow
The weather guessers were right for the first time since we have lived here. It started in the early morning, and we woke up to about three inches of good snow. You forget how beautiful it is when you haven't seen it in a long time.

Neighborhood Dog Park
We recently began letting Ginny and Cash play with our neighbors' dogs. There are fence doors going into both yards, and when opened, the mutts have three yards to play in.
Both females, Sadie is a Boykin spaniel and Sassie is a Pug. The energy they expend running around with eachother has really helped them stay calm and submissive (shout out to my boy Cesar Milan).

A Whale of a Weekend
Today marks the 37th week of my pregnancy. I have been cleaning like a mad woman today and finishing all the last minute projects I wanted to have done before the baby arrives.
One of the projects was a whale cut out of thin birch wood painted with magnetic paint under the orange. It's not as magnetic as I had hoped but it still looks cute! The eyeball is an actual magnet. The other frame is a gift bag I received at one of my baby showers. It matched so perfectly and was so cute, I had to frame it.
The house is officially ready. We just need a baby!

36 Weeks and counting...
Things are in motion now. I went to the doctor yesterday and found out that I am 50% effaced and a little dilated. The doctor also said that the baby was very low. I'm pretty uncomfortable and have had sporadic contractions with some shooting nerve pain down my legs. It seems to be moving very fast, but you just never know!

Hair of the Dog
This morning I ran in the Hair of the Dog 5k. There were several divisions in which you could compete. I competed in the formalwear division where you could wear your outfit from the night before. I also competed in the weight division where your time was calculated based on seconds per pound. We ran with computer chips on our shoes to get accurate times. My time was 26:24.85. I took 3rd place in the formalware division, and tied for 2nd in the weight division at 6.21 seconds per pound. It was a great way to start the new year! Next year Katrina will join me!
